Canal Road Film Centre is a stalwart of the inner west’s powerful cultural production story. Home to film and TV production specialists – from bespoke wig makers to unit catering, grips, gaffers, model makers, special effects and the Bell Shakespeare Company – it has been in operation for over 22 years and is a precious resource in a globally competitive Sydney.
“Canal Rd Film Centre sits on a sliver of industrial space in Sydney’s inner suburbs… Aquaman, Alien, Hacksaw Ridge, The Great Gatsby, Australia, Pirates of Caribbean, The Hobbit, King Kong, The Water Diviner and Mao’s Last Dancer, all owe something to the talents of its tenants”
Linda Morris, Sydney Morning Herald
